Emotion Socialization in the Indian Cultural Context

چکیده

The social cultural norms that guide parental practices regarding emotion socialization are determined by meanings ascribed to emotion, expression, regulation, and larger goals. majority of the empirical research on has been carried out in US Western European countries. current article aims at understanding Indian context interweaving broader views parenting socialization, goals, ancient modern concepts shape India. heterogeneity culture as well modernization processes influence these suggest across contexts (e.g., rural-urban; multiple caregiver models).
